Another out of the way place in Iowa. The patrons of the restaurant looked as like aliens as we walked in. The sign boosted if the biggest tenderloin in Iowa. We still can’t figure out the attraction to the pork tenderloin. Mitchell asked the waitress “what’s the attraction to the tenderloin?” Her reply was “that’s just how it is” the mystery remains.
As we entered the managers office I noticed a big grey box on the wall. As I gazed upon its beauty I couldn’t help notice a striking resemblance to Hal9000. This is were old technology goes to roost. Mindless task performed in convenient stores. Gone are the days of split second speed of light calculations and recording mass amounts of data to the main frame.
Got some kind of nasty virus. The kind that makes your digested food reappear. Hope its gone by the morn.
We stopped to eat at a place to eat named Fiesta Del Sol. Instead if soccer highlights playing on the idiot box. They had the Spanish version of Springer. Rather annoying I must say. No subtitle and the volume up a bit loud.
Chalk one up on the board. Turned 39 yesterday and I am starting ho really feel all the fun times of days past.
Our second store was in Marion. A slightly bigger town than most Iowa town. They even got a Walmart. Hope the rest of the stores go as smooth as these first four have.
